A single millimeter of difference will cause that. The spacer specifications were taken off my personal 86 944 and each car varies slightly. It doesn't necessarily matter, but you can always place a single washer between the swaybar and link to straighten it up.
Ideally, they should be vertical. If you pay close attention however, the stock ones aren't perfect either and I have had resistance while torqueing my own stock swaybar links.
As long as the links aren't binding, I wouldn't worry about it.
If someone could get some installed pictures for my records, I'll be very much obliged.

The bushings go, 1 on top in between the mount and the link, and one on bottom in between teh sway and the link. They are just to make the link straight, since the stock ones are wider. It will be clear when you look at it. Serge has a writeup somewhere on how to install if you cant figure it.

You might want to pick up a few washers as the bushings could stand to be a bit longer.
On my car ,at least, I had to add 2 washers to the top mount in order to extend the link
out far enough so the nut didnt bottom out on the stud.
The alum bushings also want to deform a bit when you torque everything down.

My last 11 orders came with just 2 larger spacers (opposed to 4 smaller ones) and then a shorter bolt for the bar to link, so this problem shouldn't occur anymore.
Thanks for the feedback.
