Default Part number please

I made the mistake of trying to install new door slot seals on my (early) 944. These are the seals you see on the outside of the door where the bottom edge of the glass meets the window frame. Mine were pretty cracked and nasty looking. Well there are these little clips that hold this thing in and they appear to be one shot deals - not intended for re-use. They break easy. If anyone with a parts book could look these up and maybe cross reference to VW or Audi (dealers close to me), I would much appreciate it. There are 5 of them per side.

I believe the part number you are looking for is "171 837 485". PET identified it as "Clamp - Qty - 10".

I checked ETKA (VW-Audi program) and it shows the #, you should be able to go through them.

It's not hard to believe but these little clips happen to be used on the VW Westphalia (sp?) campers and I was able to source them from gowesty.com

To replace that window scraper properly you really need to remove the glass (if just to get the old clips out). Putting the glass back in is real fun. You have to get the two scissor arm rollers to engage on the window tilted at 45 degree at the same time. A 3 handed job.... If you do remove the glass, may I also suggest you buy the new window guide 'seals' too. I've noticed that my (driver's side) window doesn't shut just right which leaves a noise path at the upper rear corner of the window (at 80 mph). I've tried adjusting things but can't seem to improve this. Any tips?
