I would try and get 32mm (1 1/4") all the way around. I had 25mm (1") on mine but Murcia has 32mm spacers - they push the wheels out closer to the fenders which will look better IMHO...
Unsure about 1.5" that may be too much.

Great work on getting it done successfully. Although it may seem small potatoes compared to some of the other tasks one can undertake on the car, we all have to start somewhere. You have learned a lot already and before you know it you'll be trying other stuff. It is a whole new dimension to the car experience.
And I'll echo Zero10, sometimes the little things that look like a piece of cake take hours, and then other times a very challenging looking task is a breeze... You never really know for sure until you are in the middle of it!

I don't feel so bad now about the distributor caps on both my cars. I spent more time than I want to admit getting it to seat right during belt jobs. How can something so simple be made so difficult?...oh I forgot it's a Porsche.
