I take it, you got the bolt out, as your trying to get the key out now. Did you remove the cam tower to do it, or source a 90 degree adapter? I bought my 90 degree ones from Harbor freight (approx. $13.00 for each, IIRC).

I generally use a pair of beveled side cutter pliers, grab the key down low on the front of it next to the shaft, squeeze tight, and pry the front of key upward. Generally works pretty well without causing much damage to the key itself. Using a brass punch and hammer, you can smack it a few times first to help break loose any corrosion build up.
