yea, i did a once over just for protection sake, and it could be better if i had used a machine, and did a second coat. but it was pretty shiny. i think a better camera might help show it better two, 2.0 megapixel isnt quite as sharp as i would like (although a better camera might show some flaws too ) it was also a little cold out, so i didnt take as much time as i could have.
im still amazed at how nice your hood turned out, that is where the most of my flaws are, they dont hardly show in pictures though, and im just picky. its night and day to what it was before i started. yours is just...

Thanks everyone, I hope the write up can prove helpful to some. There are usually a few good ways to do the same thing, so my write up is not necessarily the be-all and end-all by any stretch. For those that are intested in learning more, I found Kevin Tetz's DVD on color sanding and buffing very good as well (Click here for info)
Andrew, your car looks great in those pics. You have some great reflections on the side! Looking at those pics has stimulated a question for all us car-folk. Do any of you think that there is a detectable difference between black "colors"? Reason I ask is I used the original color code (LO41) when I repainted, and I know others have tried alternate color codes for black (and I think you did Andrew, do I recall correctly?). Anyway, it has always seemed to me that my black has almost a brown-ish cast to light reflections whereas other blacks seem somewhat different. Any reality to this, or did my fresh air supply malufunction and expose me to too many paint fumes?

i also used L041, but yes, there is a difference, the blackest blacks actually contain a shot of blue to make it appear deeper. although i dont know if you could discern one from the other unless they sat side by side
