Default Another crimson 944...?

In the 5.5 years I've had my 944, I'm yet to see another crimson one. Not just in person, but in pictures or anything else. There is a shade that's very close (crimson seems to change it's shade depending on the light but when in the same light you can see the difference) but not quite the same.

There is another 944 parked at the house right next to my school. There is a 944 in the driveway. I think it's crimson. I'm gonna confirm it this afternoon.

The only two red colors (other than guards/india red) I could find for '87 944s are:

Malven Red - LY3E
Marachino Red - LY3V

what is the paint code listed on the sticker in your car?

The only place I can find on the 'net to base my information on is here: http://porsche.elevate.nl/technical/ColorCodes.html

of course this isn't necessarily the end-all for 944 paint info, but its the best I could find

That can't be the entire list as my '88 was Steingrau or stone grey...

It's one of those two codes, but I forget off the top of my head. I think it's the first one.

Coral Red was totally different than Brian's car. Coral seemed to have an orange hue in there somewhere. The color in question is dark color. Almost to a burgandy.

Well, I confirmed it. It's an LY3E, just like my car. Another Crimson 944! Actually, it's a 944S...

In any event, I'll post some pics of mine for a refresher. And as you can see, the lighting plays a big difference in it's shade.
