My mirror came off in my hands yyesterday while I was driving. the Hinge on the stem of the mirror that attaches to the window just split in half (metal fatigue..from too frequent twisting over the years for make-up applications at red lights )

It lasted 19 years but I need a replacement. I have an excellent body guy who does all my work for me who says it would be easy to take off the part that is still attached to the window and replace it with a new one. But he has no access to after-market parts for Porsches or used ones. He asked me to find one and then he will put it on for me.

Can anybody advise and/or direct me? It is really wierd driving around without the rearview mirror. I had no idea I relied on it so much as I weaved in and out of traffic. No weaving for me until the mirror is replaced.

I need it ASAP becuase I drive down to DC from Baltimore once a week and I will at the beginning of next week.
