Default undercover 944

Bought it in 1998.

Went through the mounts, the shifter, the belts twice, detailing, cleaning, trashing, never ending cycle, most of you have been there or are going there.

Ready or not -

Anyway, after all this time.

The mental preparation, the moment is upon me.

Throw-out bearing for sure, so I am going in after the clutch.

Strip it all down then order only what is needed, all of it at once.

Torque tube may also have some issues.

Car is only on 3 ton jacks, I was thinking about getting some 6 ton and going higher -

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Betcha the shocks will ride a bit rough after 8 years of being up on stands like that. Sounds like you are in there keeping another one alive. Good for you.

There are a couple of posts of how people have used boards/jacks and combinations for getting their cars up high enough to pull engine and such. I couldn't tell you how high up it should be.

Keep us informed on the progress.

I am not quite sure what the question is.... but if it helps I was able to drop the transaxle on my parts car with that much space.

Thanks
I think I will go ahead and get 6 ton jacks. If for no other reason, it buys me some more time to procrastinate about this job -
Sure looks better than it reads (removing the clutch).
