Sell you the one off my dad's Turbo S... the cost?

One million dollars... muhahahaha...

(that's what it'll take for the hospital bills and funeral)

As for the mirror...just find a local glass/mirror shop. They should be able to cut something for you. I had to do that for my Volvo and it was way cheaper than new OE mirror glass. Good luck!

My dad owns a glass shop and he used to do auto glass. He had people come in for side mirrors all the time, and he never charged more than $10. Only thing is, if the mirror is supposed to be one of those "objects are closer than they appear" kind, you can't get that - a regular glass shop can only provide regular mirrors.

Congratulations!

The car looks good and should be fun to "perfect". You might also want to try contacting some of the people parting cars on this site to see if you can snag late mirrors cheap. The mirror glass is held on by a bayonnet type connection which makes it much easier to remove than the early mirrors. The suggestion to have a local glass shop do something quick is also a good one.

Post more pics when you can!

Beautiful car! Love the color.

Hmm... I'm imagining gray-painted phone dials...

Dunno if they're any good or will pass the inspection, but I recall seeing some cheapo "peel the cover off the back and stick onto your old broken mirror glass" type replacements at some auto parts stores. Might work for the one side to get you past your NJ inspection (I don't know how strict they are).

Forgot to mention, I've only had my '86 n/a for six weeks, and I'm getting a 951 bug...

Very nice looking car, really like that color.

Does having the header panel off the car create anymore danger of the hood coming unlatched at speed?

Click image for 150 dpi download.
I just looked at it in IE and it bungs up dpi files. Just save it and open it with Microsoft imaging. Start/Programs/accessories/Imaging. It should print correctly from that program.
