Jerad nailed it on the head. That car is more than worth it. I'm actually a little surprised he's being that realistic with the price. I'm willing to bet that is one of the top 4 or 5 lowest mileage 944s left in the country that is still in private hands. I've seen a couple early cars advertised with 8k-15k, but never anything like this. If ONLY it had fuchs
I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I wasn't planning to spend the same amount on a 951 AND as Jerad said... I would be driving it more regularly than I could stand. Note the line at the bottom about the timing belt

I bought mine with 12.5k miles on it and sometimes I feel guilty driving it, but then again, I didn't buy it to just look at it! I guess the numbers guy in me says that the cars stickered in the 40's and if you keep them pristine for 20 years, you can get 15 out of them.... hmmmm. Say you pay the 15 and put 100,000 miles on it and then sell it for 4 grand - it sure beats buying a new ( u pick it - bmw, lexus) for 40 and putting 100,000 miles on it and selling it for 10. I hope he gets 15 for it - that means I got a great deal on mine!

That's simply an amazing car! A true museum piece, but personally if i had 15k lying around i wouldn't feel half bad about buying it and letting it sit in a museum or something like that. That way down the road people can see the true majesty of the water cooled p-car!
Edit:
I hope the buyer feels the same way instead of putting a ton of miles on it...that would be a shame.

i used to have an early dash car and loved it.....my first 944. if i had the dough i'd love to own that car....hope a real enthusiast gets her....not someone who wants it for to "compliment" his collection.

not for me at 15k plus. the 1989 S2 convertibe prototype would be more of a collector car. and the 944s are never going to be big $$ cars. there are a lot of much much better ways to invest 15k.
real world transactions, the same car with 30k miles tops out at 7-8K.
