Great write-up! I prefer the white guage faces too - I picked them off a 924S and put them in. You should send this to some other sites too like clarks-garage and the paragon tech tips area.

Fantastic write-up, it should definitely be put up on Paragon, and/or Clarks Garage! I have been 'in there' a few times myself. Here are a couple pics of my white face gauges that I got off ebay a few years ago...only $36 at the time
The pointers actually match the red-zone's better in real life. I just picked up some phasfluorescent orange paint at a local hobby shop and my friend air brushed them. Those gauges are definitely a 'job' to open....they are sealed like Russian ammunition! aka: sardine can.

hey dan....where are the "two phillips head screws"? are they behind the plugs between the dials? but yer pic looks like those plugs are still in place when u pulled cluster out.
Remove the two philips head screws above the gauges and slide the cluster out.

ahh found em. they're on the 12 oclock underside of the top of the left gauge (fuel and stuff) and the right gauge (tach)
