Vaughn, you're up there in the 924's on Rennlist hah, I think I'm the 924 "kid" here on renn at 19. I know there's just a couple younger guys on 924board. I was too lazy to register on pelican, I'll cross this on 924board...those guys will turn on the storm.

I added mine as well. You would think they would have better sense than to throw stones at a car made while their own treasured model line (after more than 10 years of development) was absolute cr@p. As if I'd have come out much better as a consumer in 1977 if I bought a 2.7 liter 911 with a 5 blade fan and thermoreactors. That would have been a swell decision...

Forget the 924 vs 911 argument - I just read the Cayman S First ride article in Excellence. Man, that's a sweet ride: seems the 911/997 is in jeopardy 'cause of this new 'baby' Porsche!

I agree. I still want to buy a 911 and make it look like a 924. That would be hilarious.

FWIW- Vaughan is a die-hard 924 guy. I'll ALWAYS have his back.

I think I may be the 924 Geezer at 45 years old.

Just got back from Roebling Road where I finished 1st on Saturday and 4th on Sunday at the NASA SE Region 944CUP race.

I did not see any 911's on track but I did use a corvette and a couple of mustangs for traction! Bwaaaaahhhhh!!!

Careful. They said that about the 928. And the 951. The 911 has staying power.

It is interesting to point out that other than Vaughn (who uses his only as a dedicated race car), none of you have put your money where your mouth is, i.e., doesn't look like many of you are actual Gen. I 924 owners!

Hmmm.
