Default 86 944 FS in Norman OK

A friend is trying to sell his 86 944. The car overheated while he was away at school and he has no tools or funds to fix it. I haven't seen the car close up but do know it had previously been maintain by Charlesworth motors in Tulsa, OK. If anyone is interested, please pm me and I'll provide the owners name and phone number.

Joseph,

Agree, we need more Sooners on here. There is one other on the 928 list that I am aware of. Did you make it to the Cimarron Tech back in Jan 04?

Hey, I'm an okie as well.....too bad your friend's car isn't a 951. Last time I was in Norman (few weeks ago), I saw a dark colored 944 for sale at one of the small used car dealerships....I think on Lindsey St. maybe. It was closed so I didn't get to stop and look at it.

I'll be living/working in Duncan for a month early next year. Seems like a decent place....looking forward to it.

Owasso is about 15 miles north of Tulsa. There are actually quite a few Porsche water pumpers here in addition to my three. Actually there are about 11 that I know of counting the one currently in Norman. BTW it is a gray color.

I've seen about 4 other 944's in my area. In fact, as I was driving today, a fellow in a white 944 cabrio pulled up next to me and waved....first time I had seen that one. (And of course, I waved back).

During my 15 mile commute to Tulsa I see quite a few 924s', 944's and 951's. Haven't seen any other 931's on the road around here though. Guess that's understandable since they made less than 15,000 of them in the 4 years of production.
