What, no one is talking about the results of the jello shot contest?
This was a seriously good time, if y'all can, plan for this event, same time next year.

Got home around 11:30pm, after a bout with the windshield wiper linkage at the Illinois/Indiana border (wipers stopped working, long stretch of highway with no civilization close by, long story). Very inopportune during the torrential monsoon/remnants of Rita we encountered most of the way home. Other than that she served me well like she always has.
I've got pics too, but still have to load and resize them. My body says, "No, go to bed now...." so I will post them tomorrow.
Thank you so much all, from my brother and myself, for an extremely good time. This event is GREAT!
Chuck and I talked about things Renntreffen all the way home. You guys in the KCWS have a really special thing going and are very fortunate. And it was truly great to meet so many new faces and see some familiar ones again. I won't ever miss this event from now on, and I'm spreadin' the word. See ya' tomorrow................

Well, since no one else is saying it, I will. Look for a separate post announcing the real Jello Shot Sensei!
Glad you made it to Renntreffen and back, Wade, and it was great to meet Chuck as well. One of the highlights for me over the weekend was the jam session on Friday.

We have audio of the session on Sat. night. Have yet to listen to it.
So maybe next year some of the musical participants won't opt for looping through Canada (award-whoring?) and will maybe get there in time to get in on the Fri. session.......
More pics..............

Did either of y'all get to use the GPS units yet? I am curious what you think of them. I need to post up a list of our sponsors, but I thought it was very cool that they came up with two GPS units for door prizes!

I played with mine on the way home. You need to be able to mark waypoints first, so I couldn't use it for the route home. However, it was neat to be able to compare the Ford speedo for accuracy against the GPS. Mary, you go girl!!!!

Funny story though....
When we got out of the car, in the rain, in the place where the initial windshield wiper failure occured, the air was filled with the smell of un-harvested cannabis. Even in the pouring rain. Smelled like some potent stuff. Now it was mentioned that if we had been so inclined, we could have marked the way point and returned and.....
....no, spending time in an Indiana jail don't sound as fun as the 'Treffen......
