Ramifications of bad jacking
Some 924s get a mashed in rocker panel because they were jacked up at the wrong spot - i.e. right in front of the rear wheel vs midway under the dot. Is the damage of little consequence as in pull the dent and fill the dent and repaint or does that action hurt the car more seriously? No, I did not do that to my S2! Thanks.

It annoys the **** out of me how many 944s have dented rockers and lower fenders from being jacked up wrong. Same with smooshed front frame rails.
You can "fix-a-dent" and fuhgeddaboudit, but any damage and/or repair there will compromise the car's corrosion protection.

Thats the reason i dont take my car to tire deals i bring the rims to them to change. They have no clue how to properly lift a german sports car or any inport for that matter.

I had the spot right behind the passenger-side front wheel crimped from a bad lifting during a safety inspection. I've been contemplating getting it repaired, but as Tony K pointed out, I'm worried about corrosion protection.
Now I'm contemplating adding side skirts, as the estimates for repairing it are approx. $500 Cdn!!! Does anybody know if holes will have to be drilled to add side skirts, because if so, it totally defeats the purpose of using skirts to avoid corrosion problems. Does anybody know of any good source of side skirts which no holes will have to be drilled?

AGREED! Thats why WHENEVER, I take my car in to have the wheels balanced, or any work done on it...........I MAKE SURE......... I tell them right up front, to make sure they DON'T jack the car up on their hoist without checking to make SURE it won't touch/crush the rocker panels. I will always watch while their hoisting the car, to make sure.
