Default Nor Cal Fall Coast Ride - Feeler Thread

Well, it's time for the Northern California 944 coast ride once again. For those of you who came out last time (was it last summer ?), we started in Calistoga, through Alexander Valley out to Stewarts Point on Hwy 1, then south to Bodega Bay. I'll work the route over a little this time if needed, though the last route was awesome.

So, plan is to do this on October 1 or October 8 - post your interest and preferred date. We'll settle the details from there.

Oh, and feel free to extend this to others - Porsche and otherwise. We had a ringer cherry '72 240Z last time :-)

Brad,
Count me in. This is a great drive. Maybe you can post the link from last years run. If I get a vote, the 8th works better for me due to a prior committment. If we wait too long gas prices will be up to $4.50/gal.

I'm down - I no longer have to say "if my car doesn't break."

Btw, for those sitting on the fence, you don't want to miss this one!

This wasn't the one that ended in disaster for Danno, Dmitry and several others was it? If so, forget it - that run is cursed. If not, I might make it. . . We'll see. Depends on the price of gas.

You are thinking of the Pizza Run and just the last one was cursed!

hey, there's a 969 motorsports run in SF on the 8th. i went last time, believe me, it's a hell of a lot better than your average highway 1 run. RSVP here- itzkirb@969motorsports.com and then come down to hear my car be the loudest thing for miles.

For those who haven't done the north bay run, the whole point is to get as far away from SF as possible ( ) and enjoy desolute twisty scenery with a few vineyard views for fun. The hwy 1 portion is the last piece, not the highlight, as it often has motorhomes on it.

It's looking like the 8th might be the best date...it is for me too.

I'd love to join you guys! Either date works for me but I prefer the 1st. I hate to be the unpopular voice, but I need a good excuse to skip a lame obligation that day. I'll be (hopefully) bringing my bro along in dad's A/T 928 since he can't drive a stickshift. Are sharks allowed? If not I better teach him quick

ok, it's not an "SF" drive per se, it's more of a south bay drive. it starts in san carlos and ends 30 miles away from santa cruz, i will DEFINETLY be going to that one, i hope there's more watercooled 4-cyl porsche representation there, let's show those 911 guys what balanced performance is all about.
