Default HELP! 944 Power steering to manual question..

Hi, i am new here, so be gentle with me.......
I am in the middle of converting my UK spec 924S to manual steering to ditch the power steering i am having problems with...
Everyhting had been going well, i have sourced and fitted a 2nd hand 944 manual rack from an '84 UK spec car and everything fits just lovely... BUT...
i was looking at my Porsche 944 manual on CD to get the torque wrench setings and it mentions 'steering stop rings' (item 10 in the exploded diagram of the manual rack in section 48 of the manual)..... my rack, which came disassembled with the tie rods unbolted from the rack, doesnt seem to have any. Is this normal? were some of them supplied without the stop rings or do they not need them? or am i short of some crucial parts.....
Typically i am appealing for help from you knowledgable peeps as i have the car booked for it's annual roadworthy inspection on Sat and it is till in bits....!
