Default I need a A/C compressor (early)

Looks like the a/c has bit the dust. Massive leak on the front seal of the compressor. Here in Texas, it is still in the 90's....freakinnnn hot.

So, anybody have a excellent, like new, never used, leftover A/C compressor for sale....cheap???

If not, who has bought one recently and what is the best price/source you found?

I will probably get the receiver/dryer at the auto parts store, install all of it and have a shop do the vacumn and refill.

Has anybody ever relocated the low side port to get it away from the back of the compressor? I was thinking using a hose off of some other model that would have a low pressure valve on it somewhere?? Is this even possible?

I saw one post about using a shorter belt, which then changes the position of the compressor to allow access to the port... anybody done that???

i have one......that's got a bad clutch on it (a/c clutch), probably an easy fix for a mechanic, but that was the reason that i went and got an A/C delete bracket, and deleted it on my old 944. hey, hey, how bout them cowboys?

951Obsession....I will put you on my list. I hope to find one, all working, as is, but might not find one out there.

Thanks...
