i dont need either. just turning the crank and putting some slightly oversized rod bearings in. Block it fine.

sorry to hear about the failure. i've been through this exact same sequence this time last year. check the link in my signature, as i've got many, many photos to document the rebuild process. good luck.

oh, and you'll probably need new rods if the bearing spun. i got lucky and found a set of used OEM forged rods for less than $50 on ebay. good luck.

ok so while im waiting for the block to come back from the shop, i decided to clean up some things so its not all greasy when its re-assembled. Three cans of cleaner and a few hours later, heres what i have....i know exciting.

time to get to waxing under the hood. Got the heavy stuff off but not quite shiney yet now is it?
