Hey guys, I'm trying to get my car going before the end of tonight (school starts tommorow and with my school + working...I'm not gonna have ANY time) and I'm in the process of a trans swap (if I could freakin find a cheesehead tool ANYWHERE) but my car also needs to start. It stopped starting after I moved my tach to the middle of the cluster (early 85) One of the female connecters that goes from the speedo to the tach broke (I believe the red wire) and when I put it all back together..no start. My plugs smell like gas so I assume I'm getting gas...but when I stick a screwdriver in the spark plug wire I dont see any spark jumping. Could I have fried something? I also don't get spark at the coil...

Thanks
Mike

I had this same problem... it took me forever to diagnose. Did you check your speed and reference sensors? They are behind the intake manifold just down a few inches from the top (next to the cycling valve). They are 2 black plugs held up by a brace.
Tho, you're probably suffering a different problem, just thought ild throw in my guess.
