Sunroof air deflector
Does the air deflector provide any kind of support for the sunroof? One of my hinges broke over the weekend and I'm not really eager to replace it, since it's very rare that I take the sunroof out (I tilt it all the time, though). Everything else is solid and I can't see that the deflector provides any kind of support to the roof, but I figured I'd ask so I don't pull a Rockesque move.

Excellent, thanks! I only ever take the thing out about three times a year anyway (less since I got the Miata) so I'm not even worried about it serving as a guide.

It's also a support for the air deflector to stay in place at speed and prevent the buffeting.
