jacking the engine removing only one set of motor mounts, thats wild. thanks Deitz. just lift from the front "tab"? again thanks to all, just became a member a few hours ago and glad i did. this is some website.

Oem calls for loctite 574 but 518 works fine and is more available in smaller tubes.

Put a wide wooden block under the the oil pan to jack up. You only need about a 1/2" to clear the motor mount. You can take off both motor mounts this way if need be, since the torque tube holds the engine steady (the tube can even support the whole engine by itself with no motor mounts, as I found out once accidentally)

no damage to oil pan?, looks like the fins would bend. but if i need to, i'll go this route. seems the easiest. thanks

Use a board or block to spread the load, no problem.
