Power steering?
My power steering stopped working as I was getting on the interstate yesturday. The belt did not snap and I heard no noises. I checked the fluid level and it is full. The belt does still turn normally when the engine is running. Could the problem be the pump or the rack itself?

is the belt tensioned properly? if so, i would guess it's probably the pump.
