Default Good price on rebuilt AFM

I was experiencing a miss in my '89 944s2 (124k miles). It would come and go. After searching the archivesI tried the the "clean/move the wiper arm" procedures but the eraticness continued. I considered buying a used AFM off ebay, but the ones I saw there seemed to have as many miles as mine did. I figured I'd by a new one ($460 to $490). When I called into paragon to place my order (only new ones were shown on the web site), the order taker suggested I buy a rebuilt one ($180 plus $60) core charge. I got the unit last week installed it, and my car runs like new. I'll send the core back in the same box as delivered this week for my $60 cc refund.
