I find that a mechanical pencil works best to set the time.. I've tried with a ball point pen and that isn't long enough to engage the switch on the clock. A paperclip might also work.

Is it keeping time, or just correct time 2x's a day?

It actually has not lost time since I hooked it up, so it is running correctly (albeit 15 minutes off the correct time, I was so close when I hooked it up).

I'll try a mech pencil the next time I am out in the garage. Thanks!

By the way, I thought about someone's suggestion about trying to set it while running, and came to the conclusion that won't do anything as it only has power from the battery at all times (to keep the time) and then power to the bulb when the parking lamps are on. So, there is nothing in the clock that knows that the ignition switch is on.

You could order a CS with A/C, or buy the Sport which also offered A/C. A small watchmaker's or optician screwdriver works, I keep one in the cubby.

Use a paper clip. A ball point or other pen does not go in far enough to depress the button. Push and hold the button while it sweeps around. I find it easier to stop 5-10 minutes short of the correct time and then push the button one time per minute to get it exact, otherwise you have to go all the way around again.

Jer, I just went downstairs - you can set the time without even having the key in the ignition. But a ballpoint pen does not work - you have to use something thinner, like an opened up paperclip or smallest sized hex key.

FOLLOW UP:

I just wanted to say thanks to those here who suggested something smaller than a ball-point pen to set the clock. I used a paperclip and it was small enough to set the clock to the correct time. The hole looks large enough for the ballpoint pen to work, but in reality it is not. So.....SUCCESS!!

I took some pics of the back of the clock and the controls for the heater for the couple of people that asked. I will upload and send out in the next day or so.

Pete came by yesterday and helped me finish bleeding my brakes, I told him that Rennlist missed him.

Take care,

Jeremy
