+1 Callaway car in the world

Yea, that does seem half-*** in some ways. It would make a lot more sense just to throw big huge injectors in there and remap the entire fuel curve...you'd think a company with the resources like callaway would be able to do that, since i know Saab freaks who have remapped the entire LE Jetronic computer in their basement with a prom burner.

Okay.....
The 911 does not have Ronal wheels, but rather BBS wheels with brake cooling fans attached. They were popular with the 935 and 936. The Ronal wheels are an imitation of that look.
Campeck, those are your wheels. The R9. The photo shown may look a bit different, but those are R9s, the same as you have.

very cool car, i think the dash and console throw me off a bit, but the wheels make it look meaner than it has to be. is it supposed to have acrylic or glass headlight covers? do you have them?

from the pics I've seen there aren't any headlight covers on the lights but I did find one clear headlight lense but not the other.
Seeing those articles makes me wonder how many GTL's are in existance. I just figured this was some rich guys one off design until I saw all these pictures.

I never did explain it. A buddy of mine was looking to do a V8 conversion and he posted on a few forums looking for a shell and he got a reply from one of the guys on the 944 cup forum, we got pictures of the car and I realized it was a callway car. After some begging I convinced him not to tear this car apart but rather let me buy it and I would sell him my stock shell cheap.

Are your plans to restore it and keep it, or are you going to roll it over?
I like the interior treatment on that car. It would have been a real shame if that car was stripped down for the shell, good save.

That thing is sweet. Keep the updates rolling, I have never seen one like that. Do you have all four wheels? You should polish the lip and leave the center the same color.

I ment to reply last night. Very interesting car, odd design with the engine, but it works. (alot of cars use the extra injector to feed more gas without modifying the computer)
Nice find!
