Looks to me like some shil bidding is going on. I'm scared this thing may get out of hand

That'd be a shame as it'd be fun to do this project.

Michelle look at it this way, that's a great set of "before" restoration shots.

I always like to email a seller and "inform" them that I noticed some "bots" must be bidding up their auction and that I have reported it to ebay to investigate for their sake..."I hate when that happens" It is amazing how many times I have seen those drop off a few minutes after my email has been sent.....

I can see a 944 Spider Rennwagen in that car's future. Good for tall guys that have trouble fitting in a coupe with a full roll cage. Maybe a Ginther windscreen and top fuel type roll cage for the driver. The rest of the body in CF. I'll take it for $100. Who do I write the check to?

Thanks All,

I am not sure if I am ready for this project or not... I really do not like rust (Ask me about my mr2) Does anyone know if the cab rear 1/4s are integral to the tub, or are they boltons like the front?

Thanks again all,
Geoff

Dan, Megasquirt wow seems half a world away....ha. Anyway I will be back the 28th but probably won't have too much time till school.

The rear 1/4s are part of the body. Only the front fenders are bolt-on.

Siezed bearing?

Parked on high grass or something flammable and the hot exhaust caused it?

Al Quiada?

This Al guy seems like a real A hole! Goes around starting trouble.....burning Porsche's....

I think on the cabriolet the top part of the rear quarter panels actually comes off....but that may just be the 968 cab. IIRC

Bidding is over...I imagine parting the engine etc will get them most of their money back, then maybe someone can do something with the shell.

Why would you pay $3100 for that piece of crap when you can get this buy it now for $4000?

Albert, I have learned this with 951s as well. The ratty beat up ones will go for $5-$6k ALL DAY LONG, when PERFECT examples will barely bring in $8-9k. (watch ebay lately) It is asinine!
