Tim,
I will get a trailer and a truck. I will meet you in maryland and take one north, you take the other south.

being the nice guy that i am, you take your pick of which one you want to keep.

how does that sound, now all you need is one trailer.

Well, it was mostly sarcasm. Based on the fact that these "free" ferrari, porsche 911, jag, whatever stories pop up on car forums all of the time. The most recent in my mind being the "Free 911" thread on the Pelican 911BBS that went on forever (and ended up being a hoax).

This is the global automotive internet forum equivalent to the "CAN I TURBO MY N/A" questions that pop up on here with regularity. People go "oh no, not this again, another "free car" thread".

Tim could be the most stand up guy on the planet. I really don't know him personally from Adam.

If he gets the cars, great for him. The thing to do would be to sell them and make a decent amount of money on the deal, and let someone that has the funds to get them back into running shape (or whatever needs to be done to them) have them. Then Tim can go about finishing his 951 with the plans he has set forth for it.

Nothings ever to good to be true! I x-posted a free 944 here a few months ago from a computer forum i frequent and the car is actually in hands of a fellow 'lister! Granted it was a 944 not a 911 or Dino, but still these things do happen

Ok, got some more news, good and bad...

So far, he is still letting me have them, but someone is offering him 5k for the ferrari...the bad about the dino...the body is not what he originally said. The frame is bent from a minor accident and the engine runs for about 30 seconds before i shuts off while puffing out black and blue smoke. IF he doesn't sell it to the other guy...its mine..which i will probably turn around and sell it to someone else. The Porsche...well..this guy isn't the brightest...it isn't a 911 but a rusted out 914. It needs an engine and a lot of body. The dino has been left outside, and it has some rust on it as well (both front quarter panels and the bumper are corroding..)..

As it goes though, I might still get the Dino...not so sure about the 914...he said he wants to think about the offer he got and would let me know in a week....so...i wait and twiddle my thumbs

Default Get DINO!!

Damn, do you know how rare those Ferarri Dinos are? A fully restored one just brought over a six-figures(USD), at a recent UK auction!
