Great job Allan!

Edit: I've been following your progress on Kevin Tetz's board and didn't put the two together until now. What base / clear did you go with?

Thanks for the comments everyone. It's been a few days since I was last on, so I apologise for not responding earlier.

Mike, that's cool that you frequent Paintucation. I like that forum alot. It seems Kevin himself tries to respond to every thread. I ended up using Glasurit 55 line base, and the Glasurit 923-455 clear. It's frightfully expensive stuff, but I guess the quality probably helped my novice skills along. From what I hear, all the main brands (DuPont, PPG etc.) all have good high-end stuff though. I chose Glasurit (BASF) simply because it was the high end stuff that the local paint jobber carried.

Porcho, it's good to hear from another Toronto area person. It would be good to get together with some of the local listers some day... As for seeing my car on the road, it will probably be two years, as I'm going to be exta busy for the next year with school and work...

Doug, thanks for the kind words. Your detailed tips on prepping the hinge area helped get me past that "Waterloo".

Dan, thanks for the tip, I'll check in with Leadfoot when I'm back.

Thanks,
