Default Strut Mounts- OE, KLA or Conversion

I am going to order some new springs and struts/shocks and was wondering about the strut mount. What are you running for the street and ow do you like it?

OE- pricey but are they worth it?

KLA monoball- What's the scoop?

Pre-87 conversion- Anyone done it?

I have the KLA monoball strut mounts also, a nice (much cheaper) alternative to the factory parts. Very good quality parts, just like the strut brace i have from them also. I didnt notice much of a difference in the ride as i changed the entire front and rear suspension at the same time..., nor would i have known what to look out for after i changed them.

Another nice thing is that you dont need to have a crazy offset combo wrench or an impact wrench to get that upper strut mount nut off after switching to these. So if you ever need to switch springs, or replace the struts it makes the process a little easier.

OK, so KLA is good? How about the conversion? I really don't want to go through this and think back going "awww, I should have done..."

Keep 'em coming everyone!

Thanks

Go KLA. Nice, and a great price.

I am not a big fan of the pre-87 set up (used in the conversion). Those bearings tend to wear out if you just look at them funny.

And the OE for your car are too expensive. Outrageously so.

I have a pair of struts, springs and OEM mounts from a 968 if you are interested. They have only 48,000 miles on them and have been replaced with a dedicated track set up.
