Any opinions on this? Or would a K&N be as good?

Cue tifo's "aww not this sh*t again" picture...

Cone air filter will give you minimal to no performance increase. Only difference will be sound.

you just opened a whole can of worms with this one. I have a cone filter, and I love the sound. Besides that, it did jack.

I have a crazy question, whats the difference between a cone air intake and a $1200 MAF?

The MAF is not a filter, is an flow meter, used to measure hotwire voltages so you can tune.

I've got a cone filter, and I love it because of the sound. I'm going to plumb it to behind the drivers headlight to get it further away from the block and exhaust manifold. I'm sure you can do it cheaper than that if you get one of the $15 kits on ebay and then buy tubing yourself.
