Default *July* 944 Variant Race Car Of The Month

*January* 944 Variant Race Car Of The Month

^^^
Was the only one that I had seen, what happened? I think that it was a great idea!! Macfreak, what happened???

OK what I would like to suggest is that we name off a few cars that we would like to see details of and ask them for some info and photos. Macfreak, you still up to handle the details or am I left to carry the torch?

I would like to see more info on Damians 944n/a, HP Farm's and/or Perry's 951 for starters.

Who elses cars would we like details on?? Dan P's 951? My guess is avoiding some of the cars that would be difficult to get info on.

Ideas, thoughts and cars everyone?

I guess you'd have to rename the thread then since neither are race cars.

If you look at the old thread, they were going ot do 1 race car and 1 street car a month. So, damiens and etc, car woudl fit into the street category I guess.

I would LOVE to do another 944 variant of the month type of thing. The problem from last time was, I did one, and then I tried to track down people to do the next racecar thread, but no one would ever get back to me, and so I sort of gave up on it. The idea was sort of to do one street car and one race car, but I would like to see it go totally in the race car direction... any ideas on who to nominate for the race car.....?? We would also need to get the ew moderator to help with this, so that the thread could be a sticky for a month...

As for the race cars I am sure that some of the guys over on the 944cup page might be willing to help out a bit to get us moving along.

How about that purple 944 with the green Q'n marks all over it for Sep's race car (He's a RL'r isn't he?) For street HP Farms? That would cover Aug and Sep if we could get George and Damien to start us off. We just need to get some lead time going into the next few months.

None of those cars are race cars either.

This should be renamed street car of the month.

Joe P.

Thanks for reading along with us.. Would you mind helping out maybe and be Sep for us? That 84 - 944Spec & PCA GT4S #94 might be a great candidate for details

Micheal, glad to see that you have more energy behind this idea than I did, after some bad experience. I hope we can get this up and rolling again.

I would be happy to give you guys details of my S2 race car (pics and build detail) should this thread ever take off, I could probaly pony up a nice Turbo S (E class car) and another S2 (F car) owned and raced by founder of HWFM racing, they hang over on the 993 board but we would share non secret data with the board.

Yeah sure. You can have pix of my drivetrain drop, and removing a whole bunch of other stuff.

But I don't think that would be very interesting and I'd gather you wouldn't either.

So. Suggest another race car. There are plenty of 944 race cars out there that are actually complete.

I'd start with the Spec 944 series or the 944 Cup series. They have several well prepared cars. Or I could try to talk Chris Camadella into providing pix of his no expense spared SCCA ITS 944S. For sale BTW.
