Default ANYONE have a starter solenoid for sale??

My car starts fine when its cooled off, but when you drive it during the day and it heats up, it wont start. I was practicing slipping the clutch on a steep hill last night and I stalled it... didn't start for a full half hour...

I'm pretty sure its a bad solenoid, but I'll prolly check the grounds & terminals. I figure its the solenoid and not connections because if there was a really high resistance connection, I would expect to at least hear the starter clicking as it trys to draw its power... but the car makes no noise when you try to crank it. It fails to work and the turbo timer comes on... hehe

Battery was replaced 2 weeks ago.

I went to a local starter/alt shop and they stuck a VW solenoid on mine that cleared the problem right up. Came to $23 and change.

Yea thats what I heard... I called up one local shop and the guy had no idea what to do, told me he would call me back and never did. Maybe I should just mention that a VW solenoid might work... any idea what kind they used?

It was from an older Vdub - late 60's or early 70's I believe. Still had a post for the old points type system. I just took it to the shop and the guy went in the back and came out 10 minutes later with a new solenoid on the starter!

I can take a pic later if you need it.
