Default Replacing mirror glass

So a couple weeks back I jumped in the car to drive to work, shut the door and the passenger side mirror glass just falls off and shatters on the cement.

I managed to find a relacement at the local junkyard, however I could not get just the mirror glass out...had to rip out the whole part that swivels and has the heated mirror contacts. Part number: 94473103506

Is there an easy way to install this whole part into my existing mirror assembly? When I swivel the mount from side to side I can see (3) bolts that would appear to secure this part, but I have no clue how to get at them with a socket. Do I need some type of special swivel head or bendy attachment???

Am I attacking this from the wrong perspective???

*on a side note I need another sunvisor clip too*

The glass is attached to a plastic piece, and you need to turn the little ring on the outside a couple mm either to the right or left with the tip of a screw driver. This will allow you to pull the glass/plastic piece out and disconnect it from the 2 wires.

Ahhh yes that must be the white pieces of plastic that fell out of the mirror housing at the junkyard.

Very good, I'll give it a go!

The outer ring or the inner ring?

I had the same problem. Check Clarks-Garage.com --they have the procedure with diagrams for replacement.

Once again another over-engineered PITA!

The mirror is in and secure, but it certainly was not easy!

Thanks for your help! Tune in next time for when I wrestle the intake manifold to replace vacuum lines and do a venturi delete.

I'll be tackling a tb reseal at the same time! OH JOY!

The late mirrors are weird. The early ones are held in with a couple small clips and easily pop out/in.
