Default Swap in a bimmer wheel on my turbo?

The steering wheel on my 87' 944 turbo is in ****-poor condition and I'd like to get a new one but I'm not looking to drop much over 100 bucks to get it done.

Does anyone know if I could swap in a wheel from an E36 bmw without much trouble? I really love the look and I'm wondering what kind of hub adapter would I need? (and yes i will find a porsche/plain center for it )

Looks like the Momo Club 4. Check to see if the same generation BMW uses the same hub as the 951. I know the 951 is a Momo Part # 7004.

If not, machining may be required.

that's not a standard E36 wheel. they are airbag and that appears to be an aftermarket, like daniel mentioned.

just get a new momo. i bought one for less than $100 not including the hub.

Thanks for that info; just asked the seller to clarify the vendor.

If it is momo then it should be a cinch to order the adapter for my car.

And, BMW wheels may have different spline grooves from Porsche, and from other BMWs. Worth looking into, though.

I hope so, some of these momo wheels are $250+/ea brand new!

Sooo I found out that airbag equipped E36 BMWs use the 2011 Hub and non-airbag E36 BMW's use the 2008 hub.

Nevertheless, if this is in fact a momo wheel then it can be adapted with the porsche 7004 adapter.

Ok my seller replied and it IS an aftermarket wheel made by an italian company called RAID.

Does this mean I should be able to use any generic hub adapter like the momo 7004?

or are hub adapters specific to steering wheel brand?

It seems like the aftermarket wheels I have seen have similar mounting dimensions as long as you get the one with the right amount of holes.
