968 Cat-Back Exhaust Recommendations?
Current exhaust has a few cracks. Car is an F-stock club racer / daily driver, I don't mind if it's loud.
What's the common wisdom on exhausts for the 968?
Any performance improvement?
Borla, B&B, Custom?
Any and all insight welcome.
Thanks in advance,

I've got the only 968 I know with a full 100 cell cat and exhaust by Cargraphic. You save a little weight (15lbs IIRC), pick up 10-15hp (says Cargraphic, who's stuff is TuV approved, so I believe it) and the exhaust tip fills the hole in the rear cover absolutely perfectly. I don't know the current price but it's insanely expensive (>3 grand??). The UK guys were doing a group buy you may want to ask about on 968.uk.com for a similar setup (ESS??) but much much less $$$.

B&B stuff is nicely fabricated and very attractive...but a little pricey. FYI, some folks have been getting great deals on B&B pieces from CDOC. They said at the Hershey Swap Meet they were looking to move their existing inventory in anticipation of dropping the line...a flap over territories and discounted direct web sales, IIRC. Buddy of mine got 951 S cat bypass and catback for $800 combined.

Three Wheelin'
I have an exhaust shop near me that put together a custom package. The welded in new stainless pipe from the end of the headers into a magnaflow 100 cell cat and then to a flowmaster, to a really nice stainless oval tip. I like the sound, it weighs around 17 lbs less than stock, and flows much better.
Hope that helps,
Steve

I think Evolution Motorsport makes a catback for the 968. (www.evoms.com) Their stuff is always pretty nice.
Doesn't SFR also offer their catback for 968? With the 3L engine, the SFR is a nice match up. Good sound, low weight.

Yes, my shop is saying "why don't we just build one for you?".
From what I have read, Porsche went to significant lengths to A) create low back-pressure, and B) optimize flow across the catalyst. Big volume (almost a cubic foot), but I don't know if they like breathing MORE like the turbo's do. The concern I have is anything that would potentially interfer with the intake charging effect of the variocam valve overlap.
Keep the thoughts coming, this is very helpful.
