same here, i was at sears today getting some replacement tools for ones i broke (i love that warranty, its like getting new presents) and i almost spend 40$ on screw drivers just so i would spend less time hunting for the right size, imo, you cant have enough screwdrivers

it is yours if you want it, Crackmonkey. SK is US toolmaker related to FACOM, a French toolmaker. Both make top quality tools up there with snap on and mac, just without as much name recogntion.

I'm having problems getting my air filter cover off. The screw next to the radiator overflow is too far down for my phillips drivers to reach. Anyone know what length and size I need for that?

Schumi,

I have several SK tools, particularly torque wrenches. I went into a . . . Home Depot, I think it was, and saw the exact same torque wrenches as my SK, but instead of the green square on the handle with the SK, there was a red square, and the brand was "Husky". Not a very close imitation - the same thing. And priced noticeably cheaper.

My first guess would be that "x" company manufactures these wrenches, then SK gets all of the ones that are within a certain tolerance, and "Husky" puts their label on all of the "seconds". But this is just a wild-assed guess. I'd be disappointed to know that the supposedly quality tools I paid for are just marked up/branded up Home Depot stuff . . .

Can you enlighten me with regard to this?

Thanks,

Tony

Sk makes the best ratchets known to MAN! IMHO they are much better then snapon or Mac in terms of head design (altho I do wish they were slightly longer handled)

I ended up with my first SK torque wrench because I needed a 3/8" drive with a slender head (to fit in a confined space) that went up to 100 ft-lbs. Most 3/8 stop around 80, or their heads are too big!

Is it just me that thinks it's weird to try to get rid of one extra quality screwdriver? You don't have a junk drawer in your kitchen or room for a spare in the toolbox?
