Drove the crap out of it...we had a local run and I picked a good area for the final leg. I won't post the pic of the speedo while trying to catch up to the group in front after getting stuck behind a logging truck, I didn't catch the group for 10 miles. It was Heaven. The uber high speed stability of these cars is without comparison...except maybe an M3 though. This is one of the few Saturdays I haven't had to work on one car or another.

Test-fitted the brake ducts, made mount brackets for them, and then started modifying them to fit (adding material so they sit flush with the front of the bumper cover and fill the hole properly with no gaps). Next weekend I will make a reverse mold of the completed items, so that more can be laid up if anyone may be interested.

Jeremy,
Looks like an awsome project. What diameter is that hole, it looks a bit small? I may be interested in a set to mess around with, i'd have to install and then see if I can give up my lights.

It's whatever diameter that fits the OG Racing air tube that runs to the backing plates that bolt to the spindles that ram the air into the back of the rotors. I can measure for you if you would like, I think it is somewhere around 2" in diameter, or maybe 1.75". I can check for certain and let you know (too sleepy to crawl out to the garage with a tape measure at the moment ).

haha, I don't need to know right away, just would a nice 2.5 supply more air? I geuss since you have the brackets it makes sense to keep their tubing... do you have any tire rubbing issues on the ducts?

The tubes and back plates aren't installed yet, but there should be no rub issues as far as I can tell. I know that the diameter of the holes is the same as the ones that you see on the Turbo Cup cars (take a look at Seb's car and others), I think that this design is a little better in the fact that the duct tapers back to the hole to scoop the air a little better. The ones on the Turbo Cup cars are completely flat with no taper, just sorta like a blank-off plate with a hole drilled in it.

Bled coolant, painted rear rotor hats. Got tired of seeing the rust.

Got steering wheel off, found out there is a short closer to the wiper motor, not the switch that is the problem with the wipers. Fixed wiper washer motor, fixed driver side windoow switches. Tried to get the passenger window regulator back in got frusterated and gave up!!

Tifo, are you using aircraft SCAT hose or something else?

Tifo-
How do those ducts compare to the AIR ducts? If I ever get my car back (long story) I will be mounting those on my car and I'd be interested in what your ductwork will look like.

Fixed the broken wire to the interior hatch light sensor.
Finally got the black plastic box that goes around the rear hatch wiper motor installed in the new rear hatch...
Washed the exterior and cleaned the hell out of the interior.

Thanks! I measured, they are 2" exactly. They are going to be red to match the car. I thought about black, but then decided they would stick out like a sore thumb on a red car.

I'm using the red, rubbery tubing with wire core that OG sells. Is that what SCAT is? It looks fairly durable and beefy.

They look very similar, if not exactly the same. A hole needs to be cut in the back of the bumper cover(where you would never see it if you had to put the foglights back in anyway) to allow for the ducting to go back to the backing plates behind the rotors. I can take pics of all of that once mounted if you would like.
