Question need to fix a small hole in the radiator..

I lost the coolant yesterday, and I found a small hole in the radiator. There was remnants of some goop, so the PO must have tried to repair it. my turn now.
The radiator looks healthy otherwise. The hole (about 1mm diameter) is in one of the "channels" of the core, exactly facing the engine, i.e. on the thin side of the "channel".
So I'm thinking what to use to fix it. Two products I'm considering:
1) J-B kwik weld (2 components), rated up to 300F.
2) Permatex gas tank & radiator repair, no12020. It's a plado-like stick that needs to be kneaded.
Is any of these good enough for an aluminum radiator? Experience with either or similar products?
If you recommend another product, please give a description, not just the name, as I might not be able to easily locate the exact one.
Thanks.

try jb but you'll probably end up replacing it.

i got one from a wrecking yard for my old '84 auto a while back for a $100/shipping from partsheaven and never had any problems.

i tried jb weld on a small crack below the thermal switch and it didn't work.

I have one that was used for one year before I swapped in a 968 engine and went to a turbo radiator. $50 plus shipping.

PM me if interested.

By the time they start springing leaks they're usually ready to be replaced.
