Default Charlotte Area GTG /AC Tech Session - July 9th

I'm planning a P-car Get Together on July 9th - the weekend after the July 4th celebrations.
It will be a BBQ with burgers, hot dogs, beer etc...
If anyone would liike to do a tech session or a short drive prior to the food, I think that everyone would be up for that. An A/C session would be nice.
It's on a Saturday and the starting time is around 4:00PM til whenever. Chime in here and let's see who is coming.
Hope to see everyone soon.
Peter

Count me in so far -- what sort of A/C session are you planning? Mine is definately not running cold enough!

Maybe Cliff will chime in here....he seems to the the A/C "Go-To" guy.

BTW, I also heard back from Dave up in Winston-Salem, Joe and Richard who said that they will be able to make it also.
Looking forward to seeing everyone and hopefully some new faces also.

Peter

Sounds like fun. I would be up for meeting a few new local rennlisters since I am relatively new to the game. Now to see about getting a kitchen pass...

Mmrwolfe, welcome to the rennlist!! everything you ever wanted to know about your car can be found here.

Charlotte944, -It sounds like you know your way around an A/C system. I'm not sure if I'm running R12 or 134A, is there any way to tell what I have before the GTG? My system blows relatively cold air, but I think it does need a little refreshing.

look at your fittings. If the covers are black, r12...if they are red and blue, 134A.

Easiest way to get that is to invite her. If she comes, cool. If not, well, cool. Works every time for me....

Thanks for volunteering Cliff

Also a reminder to everyone that it might not be a bad idea to get a can of R134a or freon if you need a recharge.

Here's a list so far of those who said that they will attend. If you need directions just PM me with your email address and I'll send it over to you.

Charlotte944- Yes inviting the SO would normally be the best way, but someone has to stay home and watch after our newly arrived terror for a little while longer (My two week old does not quite have the same passion and understanding for Pcars just yet). Got a preliminary kitchen pass last night, so count me in. What kinds of goodies are needed besides required suds?
