Default Saratoga Sunroof For Sale...

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am going to be selling my Saratoga glass sunroof at 944 fest. I have spoke to Dan P about this and he is fine with me selling it there. Also 10% of the money will go to Dan for everything he is doing for us. I dont know about the price yet thhough. I may take offers on Saturday and then the highest offer wins it. Or something like that. Really dont know yet though. Let me know if anyone has a better idea. I will be taking pictures tonight when I get home. Cheers.....
Justin

Why did you decide to sell it?

Judson and I chatted about this, we thought of "raffling" it off, as in selling chances for $20 a pop. How many do you think we would we sell? I think he definately deserves $500 or close to it, we all know what they can sell for.

Judson, is your top early (steel frame all the way around) or late (4 bolts thru)?
Grey or Bronze tint?

I was gonna ask the same, grey or bronze? If it's grey, I might be inclined to make a purchase.

It is gray tint. But it looks to have a little bronze. That might just be my tan interoir though. It is the Late style with the 4 bolt holes thru it. And it operates just like the factory sunroof. And yes it is powered also. I will not take anything less than $500 for it. And I like the idea of the silent auction. They do this alot with art work. I will have a sheet and if you would like to bid you just sign up your name and the price your willing to pay for the sunroof. How does that sound to everyone....?

I'd put in for a $20.00 raffle ticket at the fest... Hell, I'd trade my longest distance trophy for it...

wait...no I wouldn't

I like the silent auction a little better. There will be a sign up sheet for you to put you name on and bid that way. There will be a reserve set at $500. So I guess thats where it will start at. And remember 10% of the money will be going towards the fest.

but, the sad sad thing is, I can't afford $500.00... I'd much rather put money towards a raffle, that way you could bring in MORE than $500.00...

Umm, a silent auction with a reserve set at $500 kind of defeats the purpose I think. It is a lot like an E-bay advert that says "No Reserve" yet the bidding starts at $20,000. I'm starting to think we can do the raffle, and just tell folks that if we don't sell 25 tickets we'll refund the $$. If I get the crowd good and drunk, I'm sure we'll sell more than 25!

FWIW, It says on the glass what color the tint is. Check the pics here http://home.earthlink.net/~porsche944t/Saratoga.html and you can see where mine says "Grey". All of the late ones with the 4 bolts that I've seen were bronze. It is probably a good color for the red cars.
