Default Fun video of a 951 chasing a CGT at Summit Point! WOO HOO!!

See what they have been telling us is true, its about the driver not the car. DAMN, watch as the CGT stretches her legs on the straights.. WOW

http://www.trackvision.net/videos/CG...DE_May2005.wmv

Thought that some of you might like taking a look. Found the link on a local 944 site.

The video is large at 23mb, I wouldn't try the download on 56k.

To quote the driver of the 951 "It was soooo tempting to hang on his bumper, but the thought of punting a $450K car and the possibility of giving its driver the yips were enough to keep me well clear. We did not see him get hard on the brakes, but when he squirted the loud pedal he certainly cleared out!"

Either the CGT wasn't pushing at all or the driver doesn't know what hes doing.

It was a DE day at the race track and they were both in the blue group. I am guessing that it was a both experience (951) and inexperience (CGT) on the drivers parts.

I found the link on the potomac PCA site but I am sure that there are other links off of the 944cup.com site.

Let me clear some things up regarding the video.

Actually, Tony already did. See Rennlist Racing forum

Here is a link to some more pictures my buddy took at the track.

heh. im with serge. neither of them were pushing it hard at all.
the 951 wouldnt have a fighting chance no matter how good a driver he was if the GT was pushing it. lol

watch his gas pedal. it hardly ever touches the floor except on ONE of the straights. must have been a practice lap or something,

Thanks Mike B, was trying not to put too many of Tony's words up, didn't realize that he had posted in the racing forum.

Those brakes were really squealing!
Gotta love how the CGT sounded pulling away! Very Ferrari-like!

Speaking of sound, there was a silver Carerra GT at the Hershey swap meet . A guy brought it over to the concours judging lot and lit it up one time for the crowd. The noise was astounding- so violent, sharp and sudden - the throttle response and lightning fast revs were just brutally powerful!

I have video of me passing a GT3RS (race car version) in turn 2 during the PCA Enduro.

Yep pretty cool. I just dove in at the inside of two and drove right around him. That was right after he passed me in I. He was late at 2 and took him back.

Of course next straight he drove by my like I was standing still, but hey... my moment!
