I've finished up with my 951/968 brake conversion on my S3. But I have a problem.
Before bleeding, the rear wheels did not turn after installing 968 calipers/pads. I figured a few pistons were pushing on the rotor (one brake pad was tight the other was loose) and figured after a bleed everything would even out. Thought maybe it was the e-brake but not sure, wanted to bleed them first as I could see one pad getting pushed on the rotor (on both rear wheels).
Anyway, got it all bled and the rears still don't move. Moves under force of the engine, as though the e-brake is on. I have to go to Indiana now and just finished cleaning up the garage so I don't have time to continue to work on it, however, if anyone knows off-hand if the 951 rear rotors have a smaller diameter or if after removing the rear rotors you have to adjust the parking brake...?
Also, I'm pretty sure the brake bias valve for the rear is the same on an 89 944 na as it is on the Turbo, so there should be no problem there (at least I think)
Thanks,
Matt

matt as far as i know the n/a bias valve is different than a turbo bias valve for all years. but regarding the other problems, i am at a loss too. i await an answer because i'm about to do this conversion as well.

The pad clearances are exceptionally tight on these cars. I couldnt turn the rotor by hand after doing pads on my car. Was installing the pads a bit difficult? I say drive the car a bit and see if it improves as the pads wear down a bit.

I will check when I get back in town.

I was going to say spacers becuase I did the same thing but soon relised my mistake and fixed it in a few seconds (about 600s)
