Another 944 To Spec Racing
I'm building a spec racer from a 1983 944. The car is in great shape inside and out. If you need "inexpensive" 1983 944 Brown interior parts let me know. Most will go into the dumpster. Shipping will probably be you biggest expense.

I agree - who would "PUT" a MUD (AKA) Brown interior in a porsche . Obviously Porsche hired a different color designer for the '90s
These parts will probably end up in the big du mpster.

hey serge - just noticed the new signature. are you building this to meet any particular rules (SCCA, PCA, NASA, etc) or just to take to the track? just interested. i've got some similar stuff done, but it seems like it's always a work in progress and honestly i'm getting tired of putting all the effort into it.
oh well, good luck....

Nope, I'm doing it mainly for fun. I want to be able to put in some custom fabrication - which would be goofy for a street car. I have a friend in my neighborhood who is going to guide me with the preparation and driving skill. Hoping to take it out to the track 2x a month over summer. DEs arent cheap.
I'll also be working with carbon fiber and fiber glass over summer. Might even make a mold or two for some 944 stuff.
If everything goes to plan, my car will not be very street worthy and I'll pick up an e30 for commuting to school.
This is just a dream and I dont know if Ill come through, but an ls1 sounds tempting in years to come. We'll see.

oh wow..dumpster :-O ...
I'll have to look at my $$$ situation after I get my valve cover gasket changed and my front end tightened up BUT I MIGHT be interested in some small parts:
* little plastic parts behind the inside door handles (and the screws that hold them in please!)
* all the little plastic covers that go over the various screws in the interior
* the pockets on the door panels (under the arm rests)..assuming the carpet is NICE
* the "aluminum look" trim in the center console (around the climate control stuff)
* if it's manual windows I'd like the window cranks (for my cousin's car)
* sun visor clips (cousin's car)
* the sunroof wind deflector and mounting brackets (cousin's car)
NOTE: I think this will all be nearly impossible because I'm a POOR COLLEGE STUDENT and I'll be at Gaurd Drill for the next 15 days..don't bother keeping these parts around any longer then you planned on

If Serge doesn't have them, I think I still have a rear seat top and a sunroof deflector.
I'm not trying to jump Serge's thread though. Make a deal with him unless he doesn't have them anymore.

Welcome to show!
Serge,
You may want to consider 944-spec prep rules when you are building. 944-spec is growing in Nor-Cal and it would suck to do some to the car that makes hard to spec legalize if you wanted to go racing with it or needed to sell.

I need brown interior parts too. since so many are offering their brown parts ill just post a list:
kicker panel below glove box
window switches (2)
door panel pockets (both)
brown screw caps for the door panels
brown filler switches
brown speaker panels (sides and center)
perhaps a good center console (with no cracks)
let me know via pm or email
thanks

If there are any brown/beige early interior hunters who are close to Ohio, I have some stuff from an 84 that is in pretty good shape. I am too lazy to ship it, however, so you would either have to come and get it, or I could throw it in the car if I happen to be traveling your way.
Cheers,
Tony
