Default Greaseslingers.... Brian needs a good belt!

Hey guys, I've been talking with Brian about doing a belt changing party. Anyone want to come to the shop on Saturday and help change belts on his NA?

Shouldn't take all that long.

If y'all are interested, I've started stripping my car and we could probably get it just about ready to drop the drivetrain.

I'll have to see what mama's got on her honey-do list. I cashed in all my kitchen passes to go to Indy. It was well worth it though.

Darn, I have a regional autoX in Pearsall this weekend. I jumped all into the repairs on this 944 but I can still learn a lot from these wrenching parties. The timing will come around and I'll meet up with you guys soon.

Next time,
Tom

Got PMs back from some of the others...Kevin is working on Saturday and Keith (icat) is out this weekend. I would consider pushing back a week to get more people over to the shop, but I've already got more than 40k on these belts and I'm anxious to get 'em done.

And the next two weekends I will be in Anchorage. In fact, next Saturday I will be participating in the Anchorage Marathon (actually, the Mayor's Midnight Sun Marathon to be exact).

We can do it just the two of us if everyone else wimps out.

Depending on the time frame, I can come as well.

Well, the time frame is this weekend (as currently planned). However, if you can make it, you can stay with us.

However, if Brian would prefer to do this with a group just for giggles, I'm down for that too. I've been needing to reschedule the GTG at the shop.

Oh, let's go ahead and plan for this weekend. I'd hate for the belt to snap and let the valves make cute little dimples in the pistons. Yeah - that would be what us engineers call "bad". I've got plenty of other projects to make for gtg fodder, like the Iceshark kits.

If I didn't live in FLA, I would be there too.

Shoot Pete, just pick up a military flight from FL to TX and we'll pick you up and bring you to the shop.

I'm grounded - one of my sunvisor clips broke yesterday and I can't drive Code Red until I get another one.

Actually, I'm building ANOTHER house - this one's in the backyard for Bandit. I have a table saw delivery coming in between 8am and 12 noon on Saturday. After which we will be rewiring the garage for 220. Sorry guys - this one's been in the plans for a couple of weeks.
