Good luck on that one. Most of my friends at work think I'm a nut job.

Come to think of it, they're right!

Man that sucks. Mine all came out with a 1/4 inch drive ratchet with a 12 point deep socket...while still on the car (i took the "impossible to remove while in car" inlet pipe out before i took the wastgate out).

That job does suck a great deal though, I honestly think this was worse than removing the bellhousing on my daily driver.

I hate the turbo exhaust construction and configuration. Its retarded engineering at best. I truly feel your pain because I have been there several times before. Just be glad the engine is out while you are dealing with the mess. I anti-seize everything in the exhaust component when I bolt everything back.

Hmmm... I seem to recall a little ol' GTG at Wade's last year in where the fellas put a new Tial on Scully's sweet '87 951. Here's some pictures to just celebrate that memory:

My brother and I were probably the ones having fun... we just sat back and drank beer and watched!

Working on your car when the only thing outside is you and the bugs is always a great memory. Or maybe when you go under the car and its dark and then come out and its light outside again... Thats always fun.
