Whats this thing? I noticed my car doesnt have one. Could this be not good?

 

VAcuum reservoir. Likely either moved or in a place where it normally isn't. Yours may be next to the batter.

yeah its not there, it was next to my battery on the later car, but there is no big green tank thing next to my battery

 

It might not be green, check to see if you have something that is similar to that.

 

I think those were only there (and green) on the very early 944s ('83 and '84). I've seen them on a couple of those. I know for a fact my '85/1 does not have one there. IIRC it's in the battery compartment, but I'll check (been a while since I've been in that area). Perhaps some people with other early 944s can confirm this.

 

i found it! its actually black like the later cars. Black power! It was right at the middle of the firewall thingy
