Default Momo wheel install with airbag delete

The PO on my 87 951 replaced the airbag wheel with a Momo, but he used the wrong hub and didn't hook up the horn and the signal won't cancel. I've read the write up on 944S2.com and done a search, but I still can't figure it out. Maybe I have the different type that he mentions in the write up, or maybe I'm just dumb but if anyone has any advice or pics please share. If I do have another type, does anyone know what parts I need to make it work?

another search and I found some more info. Looks like I need to drill a hole in the face of my multifunction switch and then splice a wire to the brass pin that sticks out from part 928-652-104-00 to pin 72 on the multiswitch.

The after market hub is probably the correct unit. Momo wheels normally attach to the hub/boss using 6 small bolts, the boss then fits on the splines of the steering column. The self canceling issue may be caused by the boss not being installed at the right angle, meaning it doesn't cancel the indicators when you straighten the wheel. Or it could be that the lug which cancels the indicator arm is not big enough (manufacturing fault poor design etc) and is not making proper contact.

Most wheels come with a centre horn push which you have to wire up to connectors inside the boss, has this been done properly ?

If your hub is #7004, it isthe correct one. You can find the ID number on the outside of the base in the second photo. The last photo (sorry about theblurry shot).

Yeah, my problem was with the switchplate. It didn't have the hole for the 928 part to go through. I pulled the switchplate, found a correct sized drill bit to fit through the hole for pin 71 and then drilled it from the back. I then spliced in the horn wire and am good to go. The hole I made didn't have a place for the ears on the 928 part so I cut them off and epoxed the part in place.
