How do I get to the internal ring? I have the whole unit off right now, and the top part where the hose connects appears to snap off somehow, but im afraid of cracking it....

You need a couple small flat blade screwdrivers. Just poke them into the slots on the lid and eventually itll come off. Mine took a fair bit of uhhh brute force so I might end up slopping some RTV sealant on there to play it safe.

The one I got to replace it has an ID of 78MM and its 4MM thick, just a plain donut O-Ring (its not "rectangular" like the original one).

will donut work on the other two? cause I cant find any "rectangular" in town...

The other two are Porsche parts, so it might be harder to find a GOOD standin. Porsche doesnt sell the oring that goes between the cap of the AOS and the body.

Is there a good procedure out there that talks about how to replace the AOS seals? Currently have the intake off and I was wondering if I can replace these seals or if there are more things that need to be removed to get this done.

Actually this is pretty straight forward:

1. Disconnect the scavenve hose.
2. Remove 3 13mm bolts.
3. Pull the AOS out of the block.
4. Clean the AOS ports on the block
5. Remove old O-Rings
6. Clean AOS
7. Install new O-Rings
8. Install AOS
9. Reconnect scavenge hose
10. Have a cold one

daniel, sorry to hear that. Can you tell me what happened or if there is something that I should be on the look out for? And thanks for the instructions Cliff, almost makes this sound easy, which is kind of frightening.

well i feel like a dumbass doing it so it was my fault. U know the bolt that connects to the side that the hose is connected to the AOS. Well i was trying to take off that bolt and when i did it pressure on the hose and plastic of the AOS and snap it broke.
