Official Hullo (I got it, and I love it)
Hullo all. I posted a few a while back when I was interested in getting a 944 (N/A) and man has it been a wild couple of weeks...wow, just about a week actually. I would up getting it on the Fifth, in the middle of one of the largest Cinco-De-Mayo celebrations in the US, in Denver.
Despite a few early skitters, like when the spark plug exploded and it started mimicking a lawn-mower on steroids. However, we got that all fixed up, changed out it's fluids, tensioned the belts, and so on (it was not treated very well towards the end of it's stint with the PO).
It has been absolutely a dream since. I never knew a car could have such a hold on a person, but it really isn't just any car anymore. It's not as fast as all of you modded-up people out there, it may not have all of the special racing gear, or even be totally fixed up yet, but I am in love. I have driven it every day, and I can't wait to get my official RennList membership.
I may post some pics of the car, but if you want to see it for now, check out my buddy Geoff's thread over here, he's been awesome helping me out through all of this, I never knew a lot about cars before, but it's been one heck of a crash-course...heh...in a manner of speaking.
Anyway, Hullo All! I am now an unofficial addict (with an official hullo message).

It is kind of an addiction you know...these cars bring more smiles per mile than any car I've owned. I loved my Miata but it lacked torque...torque is your friend. Wait til you drive a prepped Turbo...you'll never be the same.

Yeah, this car killed my expectations and made me think horrible horrible things about the 1 PO it had...
Mike bought it knowing the belts needed to be done ASAP... He bought belts, and other tune up stuff...
The air filter was black, the spark plugs were ORIGINAL with 108,000 or so on them... gear oil never changed, motor oil dirty, but not bad.
So, we go in to change out the timing/balance belt... pull off the covers, and WTF!? the balance shaft and timing belts were NEW. they still had the paint on them, and looked like they were put on the car, then it was driven to the dealer to be sold... so I checked the tension, balance belt was way loose, but timing belt was spot on. so we tensioned the balance belt and all was well...
The next day, took it to the Emissions test place... I'm tellin mike, "Yeah, these things take a while on the Dyno..." as soon as that sentance ended, it was off they Dyno under "quick pass standards"... 2 minutes...MINE TOOK 15 MIN!!!!!!
It's a pretty nice machine ya got there Mike.
